Quick Guide
- Choose Finn or Jake based on the playstyle you want to try, place a unit in a valid open area, and use earned battle currency to upgrade it. One recorded Candy Road run cleared Wave 6/6 in 5:23 with 20 lives left; treat that as a sample, not a promised clear time.
- Finn and Jake are both shown as Rare, 3-star starter choices.
- The team screen has six hero slots; the choice screen alone does not confirm a selection.
- Finn’s captured in-battle stage 1, 2 and 4 panels show different skills and stats.
- Candy Road has one documented first-clear result, not a verified wave-by-wave route.
The first useful route is simple: choose a starter hero, equip a team, place a unit, use in-battle upgrades, then read the stage result. The available screenshots document these steps but do not prove Finn is stronger than Jake or provide a guaranteed strategy.

1. Choose a Starter Hero
The selection screen shows Finn and Jake as Rare, 3-star options. It identifies Finn with a sword role and Jake with an extending attack style in the recorded interface, but it does not show a confirmed selection or a same-condition damage test. For available sample data, compare the Finn unit page with the Jake unit page. If you are looking at later investments, the rarity tier list groups the captured unit forms by star count, with Finn and Jake in the three-star C tier.

2. Set Up Your Team
The recorded team interface has six hero slots and a Summon entrance. Use it to assemble the heroes you own; the screenshot set does not establish an optimal six-unit team. The summon reference explains what the captured summon interface displayed.
3. Place Your First Unit
Choose a unit card, then click open ground beside the road. The tutorial shows the range preview and a “Not on the road” rejection. If rejected, move the preview to valid open ground, place the unit, select it to open upgrades, and use Start Wave to begin.

Follow the placement prompt, open Jake’s upgrade panel and check the six-wave result.
4. Upgrade During the Battle
Upgrade stages belong to a unit during a match; they are separate from a hero’s collection or profile level. Captured Finn panels show stage 1 Sword Slash (Damage 85, Range 20.2, Attack Speed 0.9s, Splash 5), stage 2 Sword Slash+ (118, 22.1, 0.8s, 5), and stage 4 Somersault Chop+ (343, 23.1, 2.3s, 11). The interface also shows upgrade costs such as $120, $280 and $800 in those samples. Other stages are not filled in by inference.
5. Finish a Story Stage
The recorded Candy Road result reached Wave 6/6 with 20 lives left and a 5:23 clear time. It is useful as a concrete first-clear reference, but does not show all six wave compositions, enemy paths or a reproducible team. Open the Candy Road result page for the reward details and evidence boundary.
6. Read Rewards and Keep Progressing
The same result screen lists +150 Gems, +1 Trait Crystal and +2 XP Candies with a “FIRST CLEAR” label. This records the displayed reward for that clear; it does not establish repeat rewards. Before spending a Trait Crystal, review the trait interface notes and its displayed odds.
Placement controls and the next lobby tasks
The tutorial says to click a hero card first. Finn’s deployment preview shows a $50 cost and Q to cancel. Choose the intended hero, inspect the placement preview and cancel if the location or unit is wrong; a preview is different from an already deployed unit.
Back in the lobby, QUESTS opens the task list and the summon chest shows an E interaction prompt. Continue with the active quests, then check daily rewards and player-level milestones for separate resource goals. Use Areas to find the named locations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Finn better than Jake for a new player?
The available screenshots do not compare them under the same conditions, so this wiki cannot rank one above the other.
Is the 5:23 Candy Road time typical?
It is one first-clear sample only. No repeated runs were used to estimate a typical time.
